NIST’s NCCoE releases Draft Project Description, “Migration to Post-Quantum Cryptography.”

(June 29, 2021) The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) has released a new draft project description, Migration to Post-Quantum Cryptography. Publication of this project description begins a process to further identify project requirements, scope, and hardware and software components for use in a laboratory environment.

The NCCoE will solicit participation from industry to develop and demonstrate practices to ease migration from the current set of public-key cryptographic algorithms to replacement algorithms that are resistant to quantum computer-based attacks.

Public comment period ends July 7th, 2021
